COLLECTIVE RETREATS

 


Vajrasattva

The retreats are directed by the Venerable Drubpön Ngawang Tenzin or by a monk or nun of the centre and start in the evening by a practice at 6 p.m. Explanations about the various practices are given during each retreat.
Sessions cost €10.00 per day and the contribution to Tsok and lamp offerings is left to one’s own choice.


Registration and paiment are to be made before the beginning of the retreats.

The practices at the end of a retreat as well as those performed on special days during or between retreats are open to all members of the public.


SHINE & GURU YOGA (beginners):

Based on a summarized preliminary practice, this short Guru Yoga practice has been composed by His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa for His western students. It includes the Shine meditation (pacifi cation of the mind).

GURU DRAKPO KILAYA:

is one of the wrathful manifestations of Guru Padmasambhava. This practice is performed to overcome the obstacles and the serious illnesses. His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa has bestowed the empowerment and given the instructions several times.
Dates : 18th to 20th of March 2011 & 29th of December 2011 to 1st of January 2012

NGONDRO RETREAT (beginners):

The Preliminary Practices, recommended by all masters, are essential in order to establish the foundations necessary to the practice. Each day comprises four sessions: Refuge practice and prostrations, Vajrasattva, Mandala practice and Guru Yoga (Yoga of the Master).
Dates : 20th to 27th of April 2011 & 15th to 21st of February 2012

NYUNG-NAY:

is a powerful purifi cation practice based on universal compassion, to which we can link ourselves by invoking the one-thousand armed Chenrezi form, and on the observance of temporary fasting and silence vows. This practice, accompanied by numerous prostrations, prayers and mantra recitations, lasts for two entire days and can be renewed: partial fasting on the fi rst day (Nyay-Nay), complete fasting and silence on the second day (Nyung-Nay).
Dates : 7th to 16th of June 2011 and 1st to 18th of November 2011

GURU DEWA:

Guru Dewa is a manifestation of Guru Padmasambhava in union. Revealed by Tokden Shakya Shri, the empowerment was bestowed by His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa at the end of 2009 and by H.E. Gyaltsen Tulku Rinpoche in February 2010.

TEACHINGS ON BARDO :

the Bardo is the intermediate state between two phases. It is not limited to death but regulates in fact one’s whole existence.

VAJRAYOGINI:

is one of the major Yidams of the Vajrayana. Vajrayogini is the female representation of bliss and emptiness proper to the natural state of the mind.

TRAINING COURSES

Run by Dr. Hugues Gouzènes, who has been studying and practising tibetan and indian yogas for more than 25 years, the training courses are on a theory - practice mode.

MEDITATION TRAINING COURSE :

after treating the theoretical aspects of the meditation, crucial to its understanding, he will lead the practice of various forms of meditation (analytic, contemplative, introspective, mindfulness and mental calm, ...)

BREATHING WORKSHOP :

The yoga of breath is one of the foundations of the traditional yogic discipline. It is based on the Pranayama techniques, which gives the awareness of the breathing, from its grosser aspects to its most subtle ones.

Project for the reconstruction of Drubpon Ngawang's family temple in Bhutan


The earthquake that shook Bhutan in September 2009 has nearly destroyed Chungkhar temple entirely. As it is a family estate, it cannot benefit from any governmental support. Thus, Drubpon Ngawang launched the project for its rebuilding. The works should stretch to 3 years time. To read more about it : : www.chungkhar.org
