Dear Dharma Friends,
As you already know, the celebration in Plouray of the 800 years of the Drukpa Lineage should be postponed.
Initially expected this summer, this event requires a large organization, and with the agreement of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa, we prefer to take time to be efficient in managing this great event.
Therefore, I asked His Holiness about organizing a pilgrimage in Bhutan and His Holiness approved by saying that it was a good idea.
In Bhoutan (“Druk Yul” or Dragon Country), the Drukpa Lineage is blossoming for many centuries. Guru Rinpoche himself meditated there and numerous masters of the past have lived and meditated in turn. Even today, great masters live and teach in Bhutan.
This pilgrimage in Bhoutan will take place during two weeks from 8th to 23th August 2010 and we will finish by staying a week in Kathmandu, Nepal from 24th to 30 August.
We shall go to His Holiness’s Druk Amitabha Monastery and to others holy places in Kathmandu.
The program of this pilgrimage will be send in March.
I wish many people will be able to join us during this pilgrimage.
Drubpön Nawang Tenzin.
