Dear Dharma friends,

As you know, I organize a pilgrimage to Bhutan and Nepal from August 6 to 30, 2010.

Bhutan is a country where spirituality is central in the daily and politic life.

 

Guru Rinpoche, Milarepa, Drukpa Kunley, Padampa Sangye and many others Drukpa masters have stayed and meditated. Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the incarnation of Pema Karpo, had a great influence in Bhutan and allowed to sit there the Drukpa lineage. The country was once called 'Druk Yul, the land of Drukpas.

 

Bhutan is also preserved from pollution and the preservation of the environment is a concern of government.

In Kathmandu, we will go to Druk Amitabha Monastery, which were held the first two councils of our Lineage, and we will visit some major holy places.

I encourage you to do your best to join the group of pilgrims, especially since I think less organize pilgrimages in the years to come.
