Dear Dharma friends,

I send you my sincere “Tashi Deleks” and best wishes for this new year of the Iron Tiger.

This past year we have been able to receive teachings from several great Masters of the Drukpa Lineage, and His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa returned at the end of the year.
We can appreciate our good fortune and rejoice in the many excellent opportunities.
But we must also accept that things change and that His Holiness will come to Europe less frequently from now on, as has been announced. We ourselves can go to the Himalayan region to receive His teachings and initiations.
His Holiness requests His students to attend the 2nd Annual Drukpa Council, which will take place again in April at Druk Amitabha in Kathmandu. I encourage you, if you can, to come and participate in this great event.

In February, we welcomed a very great yogi of the Drukpa Lineage: Kyabje Gyaltsen Tulku Rinpoche, who gave us teachings on the Preliminary practices and on Guru Dewa for which he bestowed the empowerment.

This summer, in the year of the Iron Tiger, we will welcome Kyabje Sey Rinpoche, who is also a holder of the Tokden Shakya Shri Lineage.

As you are no doubt aware, we have had to postpone the celebration at Plouray of the 800th anniversary of the Drukpa Lineage. Initially planned for this summer, this great event will necessitate extensive organisation and, in agreement with His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa, we prefer to give ourselves time in order to be ready.

I will organise a pilgrimage to Bhutan in August. His Holiness encourages His students to make this pilgrimage in order to re-inspire themselves in those locations blessed by Guru Padmasambhava and so many great accomplished yogis.

As you will see, our programme for this new year will be rich and beneficial.
May all the merit that we accumulate be dedicated for the benefit of all beings !
